ABOUT THE TRAINER
My name is Krista Yazzolino, and I started Foothills Fitness in 2014. Movement has always been a passion of mine! I have practiced Ballet for over 20 years while simultaneously participating in many other activities: figure skating, tennis, track&field, and cross country. I became an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, as well as a certified CrossFit coach while I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Armstrong State University. I have been enthusiastically coaching, training, and educating since 2009. I completed Pilates teacher training at Florida State University in 2007, USA Weightlifting in 2013, and maintain current CPR/AED. I have coached and personally researched Olympic lifting as well as Strongman events, and trained with National and Olympic level athletes and coaches. I am inspired and driven by rehabilitation as well as facilitating improved performance, confidence, and quality of life in others!
My training philosophy is very well rounded and approachable. After graduating, I used my education in the opposite spectrum by gaining Physical Therapy and rehabilitation experience working with a wide range of patients from those with injuries or surgeries to deconditioning and degenerative diseases. I am also part-owner of in-house The Aerial Lab: Science based Circus Arts Studio where I teach and perform primarily Aerial Silks. Finally, I continue practicing and performing ballet with local Holt Ballet Conservatory. I am mindful of and have a respectful understanding of a client’s abilities on a very wide scale, and can expertly balance their specific needs with their goals in a way that is not overwhelming or intimidating. Exercise is a very important factor in a person’s overall health and wellness, but that person’s lifestyle, diet, and stress, among other things, must all be considered when approaching how best to serve each client. I am committed to helping each client achieve a better quality of life in a way that is unique to each person, and that can be maintained even outside of the studio.
This company is all about results, safety, credibility, and value. I have had many satisfied clients that I have helped to reach their goals, whether that be weight loss, training for a specific event, or pre- and post- natal fitness, to name a few. I am passionate about the aging population, general strengthening to prevent falls or slow osteoporosis, and cardiorespiratory training for heart and circulatory health. I especially like to help stay-at-home or working moms that might not be able to get to the gym (kids are welcome spectators/participants!), or those in the workforce that need early or late hour workouts a gym trainer cannot accommodate. I also offer high-caliber strength and conditioning training to high-school or college athletes. I am also happy to travel to your home, business, or a nearby location to make sure you get your workout in. My experience, degree, and certifications, along with continuing education, ensure that you are getting quality and effective training, safely. I also guarantee that the caliber of your training plan as well as nutritional counseling, travel time, and equipment are all well worth it.
Find some friends or coworkers and work out together for huge discounts and extra motivation! I love creating challenges and activities to keep everyone excited and on track. You will still receive the same personal attention and programming that you would in a one-on-one session, but everyone will be able to participate together in a fun, challenging workout. Contact me for more information!
This is not a hard-core, overly-intense, or unsafe environment. The time we spend on our bodies is precious, and I hope to create a space where you are safe, comfortable, and motivated, but also challenging yourself, celebrating achievements, and having fun! I maintain a positive energy in the studio, and understand we all have bad days that can hopefully be remedied by stepping into the gym and sweating it out. I am a very open-minded and accepting individual, and strive to create a diverse community of all ages, genders, and walks of life! This is the gym that anyone can feel comfortable going to, while still improving their lives through fitness and whatever their goals might be.
